What It Is

What a Detox Drip Is and Is Not

You usually book a detox drip after a stretch that has caught up with you: travel, rich food, alcohol, short nights, or all four at once. What we give you is a bag of balanced fluid carrying glutathione, vitamin C, B vitamins, and magnesium, delivered into a vein so absorption never depends on a digestive system that is already working hard. You sit for about an hour.

Here is how it actually works. Your liver converts fat soluble compounds into forms your kidneys can clear, and both of those jobs run on water, electrolytes, antioxidants, and specific amino acids. Glutathione sits near the center of that chemistry, and steady hydration is what lets your kidneys keep filtering at a normal rate. The drip supplies those inputs directly, and that is the whole of what it does.

It is also worth being blunt about what this is not. We do not claim to remove toxins from you, and we do not use the word cleanse, because no infusion flushes a body clean. Nothing in the bag replaces sleep, food, or a break from alcohol. If you feel unwell in a way that points at your liver, your kidneys, or your thyroid, we say so and we refer.

Your liver and kidneys do the detoxifying, and we support them rather than replace them.
We review your history, your medications, and your kidney function before anything is mixed.

Why People Choose It

Four Reasons People Choose a Detox Drip

01

Clinical Oversight

A board certified nurse practitioner reviews your history, chooses the formula, and places the line herself from start to finish.

02

Hydration First

Most of what you feel after a heavy stretch is fluid loss, so we correct that before anything else.

03

Direct Absorption

Nutrients reach your bloodstream without passing through a gut that may be inflamed, sluggish, or unhappy that day.

04

Honest Expectations

We tell you what a drip supports and what it will not fix, so you can decide with real information.

What It Supports

What a Detox Drip Supports

Read this as support for systems that already work, not as a promise about toxins, and expect the difference to show up as hydration, steadier energy, and less of that heavy feeling.

01

Fluid Balance

Balanced saline restores the circulating volume you lose to alcohol, heat, travel, and days when you simply forget to drink.

02

Antioxidant Support

Glutathione and vitamin C support the antioxidant defenses your cells rely on during periods of stress and poor sleep.

03

Liver Function

Specific amino acids and B vitamins give your liver the raw material its normal processing pathways depend on.

04

Kidney Filtration

Steady fluid volume helps your kidneys keep filtering at a normal rate instead of working against a dehydrated system.

05

Energy and Focus

B complex vitamins support the pathways that turn food into usable energy, which often shows up as clearer thinking.

06

Puffiness and Bloat

Magnesium and correct electrolyte balance can ease the swollen, heavy feeling that follows salty food and disrupted sleep.

Science and Safety

Why We Screen Before Anything Is Mixed

Glutathione, vitamin C, and B vitamins are well described nutrients with real roles in antioxidant defense and energy metabolism, and intravenous fluid genuinely corrects dehydration. What the literature does not support is the idea that any infusion pulls stored toxins out of tissue. We are comfortable saying both of those things on the same page, because the first is worth having and the second is marketing.

Safety is why we ask questions first. Fluid volume matters if you have heart or kidney disease, and some ingredients are not appropriate in pregnancy, in G6PD deficiency, or alongside certain medications. We go through your history, your current prescriptions, and any recent lab work before we choose a formula. If a drip is not right for you, we say so and we do not sell you one.

We review heart, kidney, and liver history before selecting any formula.
Glutathione is not appropriate for everyone, and we screen for that.
We do not infuse during pregnancy without clearance from your obstetric provider.
You stay monitored for the whole infusion, not left alone with a bag.

Detox

Support, Not a Cleanse.

We would rather tell you honestly what fluid and nutrients can do for you than sell you a story about flushing your body clean.

What to Expect

What Your Detox Appointment Looks Like

You arrive, we sit down, and we go through your history, your medications, and what has been going on in the last week. Ansa checks your blood pressure and looks at your veins, then builds the bag in front of you. The line goes in, you settle into a chair, and the infusion runs for about an hour while she stays in the room.

Most of what you notice on the day is hydration, and that can feel like a clearer head and a lighter body by evening. You may notice a cool sensation along your arm or a metallic taste with vitamin C, and both of those pass quickly. We suggest water, a real meal, and a proper night of sleep afterwards, because the drip works with those, not instead of them.

Plan on about an hour in the chair, plus a short consultation.
Eat something beforehand and drink water on the morning of your appointment.
You can drive yourself home, since nothing in the bag is sedating.
Tell us about any new medication or supplement before every visit.
Questions

Questions We Are Asked Most

No, and we will not tell you otherwise. Your liver and kidneys do that work, and nothing in an IV bag reaches into tissue and pulls anything out. What the infusion does is supply fluid, antioxidants, and nutrients those organs use while they do their job. That is a real benefit, and it is a smaller claim than most detox marketing makes.

That depends on why you are coming. If it is an occasional reset after travel or a heavy weekend, once in a while is plenty. If you are asking about a regular schedule, we would rather look at what is driving the fatigue first, because a monthly bag is not a substitute for addressing sleep, alcohol, or an untreated condition.

Glutathione is an antioxidant your cells already make, and it plays a part in normal liver processing. Given intravenously it is generally well tolerated, though it is not appropriate for everyone, including some people with asthma or G6PD deficiency. We screen for that before we mix anything, and we will leave it out or decline the drip if your history calls for it.

Not on its own, and we would be inventing something if we said it did. Any drop on the scale after an infusion is fluid shift, not fat. If weight is what you want to work on, a supportive IV can sit alongside nutrition, training, and medical care, but it is never the thing doing the work.

Plan on about an hour for the infusion, plus fifteen or twenty minutes to talk through your history first. The only real discomfort is the needle going in, which lasts a second or two. After that you are in a chair with a blanket, and you can read, work, or sleep through it.
