The Route Here

Transplant ICU, Then England , Then Here.

I trained as a nurse at Mahatma Gandhi University in Kottayam, Kerala, and started my career in a transplant intensive care unit in India. That is where you learn to watch a patient properly, because the margin for missing something is very small.

From there I moved to England and worked in nephrology, then came to the United States two years later and worked in a surgical ICU and again in nephrology. Eventually I went back to school and qualified as a family nurse practitioner at Pace University in Pleasantville, New York.

I have been a nurse practitioner for seven years now, across family medicine, the emergency room and nephrology. I still work in the nephrology department at Montefiore. Aesthetics is not something I moved into instead of medicine. It sits on top of two decades of it.

Aesthetic Training

Why the Clinical Background Matters Here.

I completed a postgraduate fellowship in aesthetic medicine and trained through the Empire Medical Training program. I have been practising aesthetics since 2022, and I still practise nephrology alongside it.

That background changes how I assess you. A great deal of what shows up on skin and scalp is not a skin problem. Thyroid, iron, kidney function, medication, all of it can present as thinning hair or a change in your skin. Twenty years in intensive care and nephrology teaches you to ask about those things before reaching for a treatment.

01

Postgraduate aesthetic fellowship

Formal training in aesthetic medicine after qualifying as a nurse practitioner.

02

Empire Medical Training

Aesthetics training through one of the longest running programs in the field.

03

Practising aesthetics since 2022

Long enough to know what works, recent enough to still be learning.

04

Still practising nephrology

Currently in the nephrology department at Montefiore, alongside this practice.

02 In Her Words

Good Aesthetic Care Should Not Be a Luxury.

My goal is to make great quality aesthetic services accessible to people in my community at an affordable rate. That is the whole reason this practice exists in New City rather than somewhere with a bigger price tag attached.

Outside the clinic I am part of a strong church community and I volunteer at a soup kitchen, because giving back to the community I work in matters to me. When I am not doing either, I am usually hiking or dancing.

01

Accessible by design

Quality aesthetic care at a rate that people in this community can actually work with.

02

Rooted in New City

This is not a satellite location. It is where I live and where I want to practise.

03

Community first

Church community and regular volunteering at a local soup kitchen.

04

Hiking and dancing

The two things that get me out of the clinic and keep me sane.

Questions About the Provider

I will. Every treatment on this menu is planned and performed by me personally. Nothing is handed to an unlicensed technician after the consultation.

A nurse practitioner is an advanced practice registered nurse with graduate level clinical training and a license to assess, diagnose and treat. Family means the training covers patients across the full age range rather than one narrow specialty.

Since 2022, following a postgraduate aesthetic fellowship and training through Empire Medical Training. Before that I spent around two decades in intensive care, nephrology, family medicine and the emergency room.

Because a lot of what shows up on skin and scalp starts somewhere else. Thyroid, iron, kidney function and medication all affect both. I take a full medical history before recommending anything, and sometimes the useful answer is not a treatment at all.

Yes, and I would encourage it. Nurse practitioners appear in the public National Provider Identifier registry, which anyone can search by name and location.
