What a Hydrofacial Actually Involves
A hydrofacial is a water based resurfacing facial. A handpiece delivers a stream of solution across the skin while gentle suction lifts away loosened dead cells, oil, and debris. Because the surface stays wet throughout, exfoliation happens without the scraping and stinging people associate with older facial methods.
The session moves in stages. We soften and lift the outer layer, clear congested pores where they need it, then finish by pressing hydrating and antioxidant serums into freshly cleared skin. That final step matters, because product absorbs far better once the surface is clean and still damp.
It is a maintenance treatment rather than a corrective one. A hydrofacial refines texture, evens tone, and leaves skin looking hydrated, but it does not remodel deep scarring or lift laxity. When that is what you need, we say so plainly and we build a different plan instead.
Four Reasons People Book a Hydrofacial
Same Day Result
Skin looks cleaner and better hydrated when you walk out, which is why it suits events well.
Genuinely Gentle
The water based method exfoliates without the grit, heat, or stinging of harsher resurfacing options.
Pores Cleared Properly
Suction assisted extraction clears congestion with far less squeezing, pressure, and lingering redness afterwards.
Works With Everything
It layers comfortably into a plan alongside microneedling, peels, and whatever you use at home.
What Regular Hydrofacials Support
One session freshens the skin immediately, while texture, congestion, and tone respond best to a visit every four to six weeks across a few months.
Smoother Texture
Regular exfoliation stops dead cell buildup from dulling the surface and roughening the way skin feels.
Clearer Pores
Consistent extraction reduces the blackheads and congestion that accumulate across the nose, chin, and forehead.
Better Hydration
Serums pressed into freshly cleared skin hold water far more effectively than product applied over buildup.
More Even Tone
Steady turnover supports a brighter, more uniform surface, which shows most through dull winter months.
Calmer Oil Balance
Clearing congestion on a schedule helps oily and combination skin behave more predictably between visits.
Better Product Payoff
Your home care works harder on skin that is properly exfoliated rather than sitting under buildup.
Why We Assess Your Skin First
Skin that is actively inflamed, sunburned, or in the middle of a flare does not need exfoliation that day. Certain prescriptions, recent peels, and active cold sores also change what is sensible. We look, we ask, and we move the appointment or soften the settings when that is the right call.
Because a nurse practitioner is doing the treatment, the assessment goes past the surface. We can tell you when what you are seeing is simple congestion, when it is inflammatory acne that needs treating properly, and when pigmentation deserves an entirely different approach.

Consistency Beats Intensity, Every Time.
Skin responds to steady, well spaced maintenance far better than to one aggressive treatment squeezed in before an event. We plan the rhythm with you.

What the Session Feels Like
You lie back and we cleanse, then work in passes across the face. Most people describe it as cool water and light suction moving over the skin, closer to a massage than a procedure. Extraction around the nose and chin feels firmer for a moment, and we ease off the second you say so.
Afterwards the skin looks slightly flushed for a short while and then settles. You can wear makeup the same day, although most people prefer not to. We finish with sunscreen and tell you exactly what to use, and what to leave alone, for the next few days.
Questions We Are Asked Most
Every four to six weeks suits most skin, which roughly follows the natural turnover cycle. Oily or congested skin sometimes does better monthly at first. If you are only booking for an event, a single session a few days beforehand still helps.
It helps with congestion, blackheads, and the dull buildup that sits around active breakouts. It is not a treatment for inflammatory or cystic acne on its own, and we will tell you if that is what we are looking at. In those cases we build a proper acne plan and use facials as support.
Yes, although skin usually looks better bare for the rest of the day. If you do apply makeup, use clean brushes and keep it light. Sunscreen goes on first either way.
The fresh, hydrated look holds for roughly five to seven days after a single session. Texture and pore clarity improve more durably when sessions are spaced regularly across a few months. Home care is what stops the gap between visits from undoing the work.
For most people it is comfortable enough to be relaxing. The strongest sensation is suction during extraction around the nose, and it passes quickly. Tell us at any point and we reduce the strength.
