What to Expect the First Time.
Nobody enjoys walking into a clinic not knowing how it works. Here is the whole thing, start to finish.
From the Door to the Plan
A first appointment takes around forty five minutes. Most of it is assessment rather than treatment, and that is deliberate.
Arrive
Come a few minutes early. There is a short intake form covering your medical history, medications and allergies.
Assessment
Ansa looks at the area properly, asks what you have tried, and asks what is actually bothering you about it.
The plan
You get a written recommendation: the treatment, the number of sessions, the spacing and the cost.
Baseline photographs
Taken before anything else, so every later visit has something honest to be measured against.
Four Things Worth Bringing
None of this is required. All of it makes the assessment faster and the plan better.
Your medication list
Including over the counter products and supplements. Several affect bleeding, healing and pigment.
Your current skincare
Or photographs of the labels. What you already use changes what we would add or remove.
Your treatment history
What you have had, how many sessions, and whether anything changed. The failures are the most useful part.
Your questions
Written down. Consultations move quickly and people forget the thing they most wanted to ask.
You Will Not Be Rushed.
A first appointment is an assessment, not a sales meeting. You can take the plan away and think about it.
The Practical Details.
We confirm every appointment by phone. If you need to move one, call us as early as you can and we will find you another slot, because a short delay in a course is usually fine and a missed slot is hard to fill.
Clinical records and photographs are kept securely and are never used publicly without your written consent. If you would prefer we did not photograph a particular area, tell us and we will note it in your file.
Cancellations
Call as early as possible. We will always try to move you rather than lose the session from your course.
Late arrivals
We will treat you if there is time in the slot. If not, we will rebook rather than rush a treatment.
Photography consent
Progress photographs are clinical and private by default. Public use requires separate written consent.
Bringing someone
You are welcome to. For younger patients being treated for acne, we prefer it.
Book Your First Visit.
Call (914) 571-6870 on a Thursday, Saturday or Sunday and we will find you an unhurried slot. Everything is by appointment.
